Your information

Frederick's Butchers uses personal information to take and manage Christmas preorders, process payments, arrange collection, provide customer service and, where you have chosen to receive them, send marketing emails.

What we collect

For an order we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, order details, collection choice and any information you include in your order notes. Payment is handled through Square; Frederick's does not need to store your full card details.

How we use it

We use order information to fulfil your preorder, communicate with you about it, manage stock and collections, keep appropriate business records and deal with cancellations or refunds.

Marketing emails

Marketing is optional and separate from placing an order. If you actively opt in, we store your name, email address, the date and source of your consent, and the version of the consent wording you agreed to. We may then email you about Frederick's news, Christmas opening dates and occasional offers.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in a marketing email or by contacting us. If you unsubscribe, we may retain the minimum information necessary on a suppression list so that we can respect your choice and avoid sending further marketing.

Who handles your information

We use service providers where necessary to operate the preorder service, including payment, website hosting and email services. Information is shared only as needed for those services or where required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including appropriate legal, accounting and record-keeping requirements. Marketing details are kept while you remain subscribed; suppression information may be retained so we can continue to honour an opt-out.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law gives you rights over your personal information, including rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection, and to withdraw marketing consent at any time.
